Description

This is a slave auction block in Fredericksburg, VA. To me, this is much different than statues of generals who tried to overthrow our government. It doesn't glorify the past but is a real item that links us to an evil part of history. This block can teach later generations something they SHOULD know. If the Germans can keep Dachau in tact as a memorial and learning tool, we should be able to use this wisely as well. That's why I took this photo.
